World Tai Chi and Qi Gong Day Saturday, April 30th 10 am to Noon
On Saturday, April 30th, people in more than 82 countries all around the world will celebrate the 17th annual World Tai Chi and Qi Gong day.
At 10 am in there own time zone, people in each country will practice tai chi and qi gong, creating a 24 hour "wave" that will circle the globe.
You can join Asian Arts' teachers and students at the William K. Sanford (Colonie Town) Library from 10 am to noon for this free event. You can watch or join in as instructors lead students and attendees through a short section of a tai chi routine. Or, you can try some qi gong (breathing) exercises to feel calm and relaxed.
Fact sheets on some of tai chi's wide-ranging benefits, including more restful sleep, better balance, improved immune system and, help for Fibromyalgia and Parkinson's, will be available at the refreshment table. Instructors will also be available to answer questions and provide more information.

Workshops with Master Wiliam Ting May 14th and 15th
Asian Arts will be welcoming Master William Ting to Albany the weekend of May 14th. Master Ting will be conducting three workshops on Tai Chi and Qigong. These workshops are open to all.
